evaluation of my creation--i should be a bard for a living....

i am going to evaluate my creation.

i think i did just fine and so does my friend. i have drawn out several plans and i almost have it narrowed down to 2 or 3. i couldve done a little more effort in my drawings but no one else is seeing them and they work fantastic for their purpose.

umm......creation

thats now 2 zip to man. i created something today. i made a plan for my cookbook. i want the pages to be 8x11...(why is the 8 so big??)and just plain white with a pic every other page or so. the cover will be black and in the upper right corner there will be a devils trap so only the pure may enjoy my cookbook.but even if demons do get pass it all my recipes have salt and they cant touch that so their cooking wont taste as good. or- it will be yellow with daisies...i havent decided yet.

evaluate...that looks funny....

i EVUALTED....EVALUATED....whatever....i thought about my progress. i took into account what ive done and what i need to do and i think i deserve an A++++++++++++++++++++ not a 0. i have made excellent progress! i wanted to have finish collecting the recipes X-Mas eve and i am well on my way to accomplishing that. i only have one or 2 more to go so i will have them done late, late, LATE X-mas eve. i was thinking around 11 or so. i have been using the design cycle fine, i have planning, and creating, and investigating! im not sure what else i can write about evaluating. i mean i put i think im doing fine and i evaluated...so im gonna end my blog.

i heart heroes--create.

i havent had much time to do much this weekend besides plan my cover, what with work and trying to sell the house and putting up with a million other pointless things. so i shall evaluate. i think i have done a fandiddlytastic job this weekend with my project. saturday i didnt do anything because i had to work and when i got home i did not want to do anything. sunday, however, i decorated my tree, helped clean the house, and put up with annoying phone calls from certain family members regarding grades all the while planning out a schedule for my project and a plan for my cover. if i work hard like this every week i shall have my project done by the new year!

i made a plizan.

i planned. *fanfare* this weekend i planned a new schedule for myself. for instance im trying hard not to goof off, not working entirely because right now im thinking about how in england they dont say schedule the way we do....they say it like shedwule...anyway, im working on it. i also am going to spend 10 minutes a day thinking of a new recipe and on the weekend i will make the recipes i collected over the week. i want to get one or 2 recipes a week. that way ill have at least 8-10 recipes for my cookbook. i also plan to spend .5 hour during the weekend working on my cover. this way it will all be done on new years eve!!! i also plan on lighting up a bunch of fireworks to celebrate the end of this project. i plan on implementing this schedule tomorrow after school.

sleepysleepysleepy--create.

this weekend i created! score 1 for homo faber! i planned out my cover. and i also typed some of my recipes using......microsoft word processor. i made really good use of time because instead of sitting and planning for 30 minutes, i watched spiderman 3 (i cant believe Harry died) and planned. i mixed something enjoyable with something less enjoyable to make it slightly irritating. i am also watching music videos (papa roach) while typing this so i dont completely lose my mind. but back to the creating. i started working on my cover. i made a plan that goes like this:
the cover is a piece of computer paper-- i dont have any construction paper -- and it is blue. it will have black lettering and it says feel good cookbook. my name is in red. there is a ginormous pic on the front of a piece of pie with a glass of milk. thats all i got do far.

d word

december 24th- finish collecting recipes
december 25th- finish cover of cookbook
december 31st- finish powerpoint.

*snore* huh....what?--plan

i am using this blog to plan more recipes and the way my cookbook will look.

still havent gotten the recipe, but i will soon. i might put another recipe for banana bread...not sure if its very desertish...hmm....maybe a double chocolate chip recipe...not sure how to do that but i can try..i also know a recipe for key lime pie--i got it from my mom again--like a family cookbook...

i really cant think of anymore recipes, and i have already planned the layout...think ill make the cover black...

OH! i remembered another recipe!

blueberry pie!i forget the exact recipe but all it is is a couple cups of sugar, a tablespoon of butter, a tablespoon of vanill extract, and like 3 cups of blueberries. again, my mom knows the recipe but shes asleep so...

the cover will be any color--havent decided yet-- but ill use a fancy lettering that will simply say DESERT COOKBOOK, my name, picture of some dessert.
there will also be a table of contents--brownies, cookies, then pies.
then the recipes.
ill either use a plastic cover or staple it together.

cant think...--investigate

i havent been able to think of anymore recipes. im going to get my moms brownie recipe from her tomorrow-- her mother made it up!

i think one of the reasons i am stumped is that i dont take a lot of time to work on it. to fix this i am going to take a few minutes every day to think about my project--its point and purpose--. then i will take one day to write up everything that happened during the week in my blog.

this schedule will work for me because it is the easiest that fits with my schedule --work, water polo, drama, other hw...--

.....MORE BLOGS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ARRGH!--plan

yeah....more blogs....its a cookbook! i cant think of what else to write except recipes --duh--

this blog is being dedicated to the part of the design cycle labeled: plan. i planned another recipe for my cookbook. the product i designed is....*fanfare* COOKIES. it took me a while to plan this recipe, i got the main part from my mom but i added a few things to make it better ( the m&ms and a bit more bit of butter.)

Ingredients--
2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1.5 cups brown sugar, 1.5 sticks melted butter, 2 tablespoons vanilla extract, 2 eggs, 1 cup chocolate chips, 1 cup m&ms.

Grease cookie sheet, bake at 325 degrees until cookies are golden brown (about 10-20 minutes--time depends on size of cookies)

yay....that was exciting.

5 days 2 hours 46 minutes 25 seconds till grace!

i have another pie recipe.
are you ready?
are you sure?
cause
its fantastic
and....
kentucky derby pie.
best. pie. ever.

1.5 cups o sugar, 3 eggs, 1.5 cups pecans, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, .75 cup flour, 1.5 sticks o butter, 1.5 cups o choco chips, 2 pie shells. bake for 40-45 minutes at 325 degrees. i actually had some help on this one from my moms friend, shes a baker. i didnt make this one up completely i just added some of my own twists--pecans for example.

i might add a recipe for brownies but i havent tried out my idea yet. i also have one for cookies but i misplaced the paper that i wrote it down on. ill look for it tomorrow and post it on sunday.

AHHH!!! theres going to be a meet and great at buzz bake sale!!!!! *passes out from jumping around and yelling* --Alice Young.

as you can see im overly excited for the Three Days Grace concert this saturday. i would love to dedicate my project to them but i dont have any good ideas.

i was thinking about my cookbook again and i think im totally decided on just desserts. its a lot easier for me than entrees. so i have the following in mind:
apple pie: 6 cups apples, 1 cup sugar, 3 table spoons butter, 2 table spoons cinammon baked at 350 for 45 minutes--i made this today so i know its all right--
pumpkin pie: 1 medium sugar pumpkin--cut pumpkin into strips and put in oven for 1 hour (400 degrees). scrape pumpkin from..i want to say rind when done.-2 teaspoons pumpkin spice, 1/2 teaspoon ginger, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, dash of salt, 3-4 cups of evaporated milk, 4 eggs. bake in oven at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes. --i made this and the apple for thanksgiving and they were a hit!

for the cook book idea i had i was thinking of a dessert one: pumpkin, apple, kentucky derby pie. i think a cook boo for entrees would be a lot more difficult....maybe it could be strictly pies....hmm....i love pie...

i havent had any new art ideas and i have a really bad camera so i think ill scratch those out.

i could do a poem....i have one or 2, ill find out next week if we can just do one or if it has to be a bunch.

Vote for Colbert!--Alice Young. ( i know hes no longer in the running but still)

its blogtastic

ah, time for the last blog until next time my friend reminds me we need 3 a week.
i still dont have many new ideas except for this

for my cooking idea i could
a) make a cookbook either geared toward little kids or reciped where the ingredients can all be purchased under $10.
b) some sort of bake sale....to help those less fortunate....hmmm...

recipes for under $10--cakes, pies, snacks anything really. ill try to put as many different things as i can.

the art im still coming up short for picture ideas--besides nature but then id have to actually go outside *shudders* and besides nature has been done so many times already. maybe i could do people.... create a big diversity poster or something.

as always counting down the days to buzz bake sale--12 days 11 hours 22 minutes and 10 seconds--Alice Young (Alosco)

i have an idea for my spy vs. spy idea!!! this year i could make blue prints and when my ACTUAL personal project comes around i could build it. well, time to expand on it.
it would have the black and white spy shaking hands and behind the white spy's back hell be holding a stick of red dynamite and the black spy will be holding a red bomb. they will be smiling but it will like an evilish smile. approximately 2.5 to 2.96 feet tall. (thats approximately 2 ft 11.52 inches--which is 35.52 inches-incidentally my favorite number--)

im still at a loss for the cooking idea, im working on it though!

as always--wondering why we have this class-Alice Young (Alosco)

at this point i have no idea what i would like to do for my personal project. oh, wait my MINI personal project. whatever.
i am thinking of the following
1. a piece of art (painting, photography, etc.)
2. something to do with cooking.

one of my art ideas is to create a wood carving of spy vs. spy from mad magazine.
the painting, not many ideas....hmm....

cooking i dont know, i just like to cook so i thought it might be a good idea to expand on. i also am still sick so im finding it hard to think of anymore ideas.
